There are several different levels of reiki attunement. Sometimes levels are taught together or not necessarily broken down into all levels seen below:
Level I
Generally includes the Reiki principles, hand positions, history and attunement. Some schools combine level I & II. Some schools teach that Reiki I heals on the “Physical” level.
Level II
Generally includes three Reiki symbols (Power, Mental/Emotional, Connection) Mental/Emotional Healing, Distant Healing and another attunement. Some schools teach that Reiki II is “Emotional” healing.
Level III (ART)
Some schools have added a level between II and Master/Teacher. This level III is often called, “Advanced Reiki Ttraining” (ART). Some of the techniques that might be included are: Reiki meditation using symbols, using the symbols for manifesting goals, Reiki & crystals, making a Reiki crystal grid, meditation to meet your guide, Reiki Healing Attunement, the Tibetan Antahkarana symbol and a meditation for its use, the Hui Yin position and the Violet Breath.
Master (Practitioner)
Some schools offer an added level between II and Master/Teacher. The Master level includes an attunement, the 2 Master symbols and Healing Attunement but not instructions for teaching. Some schools teach that this is the “Spiritual” healing.
Master/Teacher
Generally includes the Usui Master Symbol (empowerment symbol), its meaning and application, the Attunement process and practice in its application and how to teach others. Some schools teach that this is for “Spiritual” healing.
